Yuan-Chin Amy Lee

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Dr. Yuan-Chin Amy Lee graduated with her PhD degree in epidemiology at University of California, Los Angeles School of Public Health. She has been working closely with Dr. Mia Hashibe on smoking-related cancers, such as lung and head and neck cancers, at the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France and at the University of Utah. She is interested in research that can be applied in the population. Currently, she is performing research on head and neck cancer etiology by conducting a case-control study in East Asia, and on head and neck cancer risk prediction modeling by utilizing the pooled database in the International Head and Neck Cancer Epidemiology Consortium.

Chun-Pin Chang (Esther) graduated with her MPH and PhD degrees in epidemiology at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Her dissertation focused on how glycemic index (GI) diet, glucose metabolism-related SNPs and GxE interaction influence the risk of lung and upper aerodigestive tract cancers. Her previous research experiences have spanned broad topics covering, the association between environmental exposure and breast cancer among young women, the prevalence of Human Herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) among HIV-infected and general population in Taiwan, and the association between genetic variants of B cell and non-Hodgkin lymphoma among HIV-infected men. Her current work focuses on reproductive epidemiology and cancer survivors study.
