Improving Cancer Prevention Outcomes For Children & Young Adults

The Wu Team has a shared goal of improving the following outcomes for children, adolescents, young adults who have been affected by cancer or who are at-risk for cancer, and their families:

  • cancer-related survival
  • maintenance of cancer remission
  • prevention of cancer
  • quality of life
  • psychological outcomes

Our work focuses on improving these outcomes by designing and testing ways to improve young people’s adherence to medical recommendations and regimens (that is, whether what they do is consistent with medical advice), and self-management of their health.
