Hereditary Cancer Syndromes & Familial Cancers of Unknown Etiology
The Neklason Lab studies genetic and environmental factors that contribute to familial cancer, with a particular focus on colorectal cancer and neuroendocrine tumors. Our current projects include:
- Modifiers of cancer penetrance in Lynch Syndrome
- Gene discovery in large Utah ancestries with high rates of colorectal cancer and polyposis
- Characterization of genetic and environmental risk factors for small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (SINETs)
