COE Internship
The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is seeking applicants for their internship program. Selected interns will join established teams devoted to creating long-term solutions to prevent and screen for cancer and improve the health of individuals, families, and communities. Clinical Shadowing
The Office of Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) at Huntsman Cancer Institute will assist trainees in finding opportunities for clinical shadowing in the cancer care arena.
Scientific Enrichment Month (SEM) Program
HCI supports and promotes this free virtual program for high school students led by the Herbert Irving Cancer Center located at Columbia University. This month-long program is held in July and focuses on cancer education, scientific enrichment, and professional development. HCI partners by providing a Cancer Genetics and Genetic Counseling working group as well as other presentations.
Independent Research
Prospective trainees interested in independent research experiences are encouraged to contact faculty directly regarding available opportunities. Most faculty at Huntsman Cancer Institute are listed in the Cancer Center Members list, which is organized by research program. Research is divided into categories: laboratory, clinical, and population-based efforts.

GSRM Internship
GSRM internship provides a 10-week summer research program for undergraduate students interested in biosciences or bioinformatics with a focus on genomics research, including ethical, legal, and social implications of genomics research.
NARI
NARI is a dynamic summer research opportunity for Native American undergraduate junior and senior students who are interested in Health Science research. It is a 10-week, paid summer internship, funded by the National Institutes of Health.
