University of Utah Health is proud to announce the official designation of the nation’s first Stillbirth Center of Excellence, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to reducing the burden of stillbirth in the United States.
Genetics of Stillbirth
One in 175 pregnancies end in stillbirth, and in many cases, the cause is unknown. Tsegaselassie Workalemahu, PhD, MSc, shares how a background in mathematics is helping him find the genetic causes of stillbirth, with the goal of bringing closure to families and improving infants’ health.
