Additional Information -
The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation is pleased to announce its 2023 Spinal Cord Injury Research on the Translational Spectrum (SCIRTS) funding opportunity.  Eligible organizations interested in mechanistic, preclinical, translational, and/or clinical spinal cord injury (SCI) research are encouraged to apply.

The SCIRTS portfolio funds studies designed to improve understanding and advance the treatment of acute and chronic SCI, supports training in SCI research, and encourages pursuit of new avenues in the field as well as decisive translational steps leading to restoration of function resulting from SCI.  Funding categories include Postdoctoral Fellowships, Pilot, and Senior Research Grants to promote research efforts across the translational spectrum.

Award amounts in this grant process have increased and now range from $200,000 to $800,000. These changes, along with new guidelines, are described in the 2023 SCIRTS Application Guide, now available on our website (chnfoundation.org).  The application process begins with submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI), which will open in ProposalCentral (https://proposalcentral.altum.com) on April 29, 2022.  The deadline for LOI applications is June 10, 2022.

Please contact Lynn Wong if you are interested in applying to this opportunity.
