Grant Amount: $150,000 over two years Deadline: December 16, 2021 Additional Information - The American Lung Association is inviting applications for its Allergic Respiratory Diseases Research Award.  The American Lung Association and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology (AAAAI) Allergic Respiratory Diseases Research Award represents a joint effort to encourage and support applicants who hold a primary faculty appointment in a clinical allergy and immunology division and who are conducting research into advancing the understanding of allergic respiratory disease. One of the goals of this collaboration is to fund researchers at important crossroads of their careers. The award provides $75,000 per year for up to two years in support of research in academic allergy and immunology divisions in an effort to benefit patients.   Applicants must hold a doctoral degree, be in a clinical allergy and immunology division (or clinical immunology division), be undertaking a project related to allergic respiratory disease, and have completed training. At the time of application, candidates must be United States citizens or foreign nationals holding one of the following visa immigration statuses: permanent resident (Green Card), exchange visitor (J-1), temporary worker in a specialty occupation (H-1B), Canadian or Mexican citizen engaging in professional activities (TN), Australians in Specialty Occupation (E-3), or temporary worker with extraordinary abilities in the sciences (O-1). At the time of application and throughout the grant period, an applicant must be employed by a U.S. institution.
