Frederick A. Monette Appointed Executive Director of EHS

As part of the ongoing efforts to ensure safety at the University of Utah, Frederick A. Monette,
M.S., has been appointed Executive Director of the newly integrated Office of Environmental
Health and Safety (EHS). Mr. Monette had previously served as the director of the Radiation
Safety Office, and then as Interim Executive Director of the newly integrated EHS unit.
Mr. Monette has demonstrated extensive expertise and strong leadership in the fields of
environmental, chemical, and laboratory safety. We look forward to continuing our work with
Mr. Monette, and the leadership & staff of EHS, as we continue our work together to promote
the well-being and protection of students, faculty, post-docs, and staff at the University of Utah.
