ASRA is recognized as a leading organization in the advancement of the science and practice of pain medicine. The ASRA Chronic Pain Medicine Research Grant aims to promote and facilitate high quality research in pain medicine. Results of such research will guide clinical practice for pain physicians and improve patient health care. This research is needed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pain interventions and treatments. The applicant and co-investigators must be North American, physician members of ASRA. The research proposal must be concerned with an original idea or concept. Assistance by or collaboration with other academic faculty or staff anesthesiologists is permitted; these secondary investigators must be identified in the application. The grant requests can be for clinical research projects or research using laboratory animals.
