We're far from returning to a pre-COVID-19 normal. But as the University of Utah and the University Health Sciences community navigate this dynamic situation, we want you to be informed on the standards and practices that will keep everyone safe. “Return to Campus” Training – As the campus plans for the fall semester, all main campus and U of U Health academics faculty/staff (excluding hospitals and clinics staff) need to complete a brief online training on face coverings, physical distancing, hand washing, and surface disinfection. Once training is finished, all employees must electronically certify willingness to follow these safety protocols. The deadline for this was July 10, but if you haven't completed it, please be sure to login and complete the training. Face-Covering Policy - Many of you will be aware that in June, University of Utah Health implemented a face-covering entrance policy. As we try to stem the tide of the pandemic, we all have a responsibility to do everything we can. For more on the policy check out this link. #MaskUpUtah - Additionally, as per Dr. Good's recent three things to know, the "Utah Hospital Association teamed with Utah’s four large health systems to launch #MaskUpUtah, a campaign encouraging people to wear face coverings in public and work settings. The recent rise in COVID-19 cases across the state requires everyone to wear a mask as a critical measure to slow the spread of coronavirus." As we look to join in solidarity in the efforts to wear masks, you will start seeing masks throughout the health science campus inviting all of us to join in wearing masks and implementing other safe practices.
