COVID-19 Weekly Update, December 22, 2020

The number of Utahns testing positive for coronavirus currently appears to be stabilizing. Thanks to your vigilant efforts to continue masking, washing hands frequently, keeping physical distance, and staying home when sick, we are beginning to see a decrease in people who are being hospitalized or dying of COVID-19. Hopefully these trends continue through the holidays and beyond.

Reflections from 2020 AAMC Annual Meeting

The first-ever virtual AAMC Annual Meeting did not disappoint. It was a truly inspiring experience with discussions around health inequities highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic, how academic medical institutions confront and attempt to dismantle systemic anti-Black racism, and an historic decision by AAMC to eliminate systemic racism in medicine.
