Apply for Funds to Support Your Research During a Major Life Event

Did you know NIH offers supplemental funding opportunities to early-stage investigators to support their work during major life events? If you are pregnant, plan to adopt a child, take parental leave, or care for an ailing family member, you may be eligible to receive up to $50,000 for up to one year. Eligible principal investigators who are first-time recipients of an NIH research project grant can apply. The goal is to enable research continuity at this critical career stage. Funding can support personnel, computational services, supplies, and equipment during the period in which you experience a critical life event.
