Complex 3D scientific animation is replacing rough sketches and furthering the understanding of complex molecular movement and development. And University of Utah researcher and TED fellow Janet Iwasa, Ph.D., is collaborating with top scientists across the country to create comprehensive molecular models for different viruses, including the AIDS virus.
Allowing scientists to create, visualize, modify and share their hypotheses around molecular movement will speed the discovery process, Iwasa says in a recent talk at TED 2014 in Vancouver. Read the full TED Q&A with Iwasa and watch the video on the TED site.
