Steve Thompson will present “Advancing the Globalization of Academic Health System Activities” on February 11,12:00 PM-1:00 PM HSEB 5100B. Steve Thompson is a pioneer in setting up collaborations abroad with Academic Medical Centers. (Watch video here) For 15 years he led what became one of the largest centers for global collaborations as the SVP of Johns Hopkins Medicine and founder and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine International. He has worked extensively in academic medicine and academic health centers. Mr. Thompson has a particular interest in identifying innovative ways for academic health systems to collaborate with a wide range of partners to work towards the common objective of improving health and healthcare delivery locally, regionally and globally. He will share with the university the global landscape and approaches for developing strategy, process, and resources.
