Faculty Development strives to enhance the leadership skills of all faculty. We provide seminars, workshops, programs and funding for leadership training opportunities.

Utah Coaching and Advancement Network (UCAN)

The mission of the Utah Coaching and Advancement Network (UCAN) is to provide opportunities for trainees, faculty, and staff to promote professional effectiveness, career advancement, and a culture of caring and collegiality through coaching.

Women's Leadership Day

Includes a keynote speaker, networking activities, a breakout session, and a panel focused on a topic pertinent to professional development of female-identifying faculty members.

Vice President’s Clinical & Translational (VPCAT) Research Scholars Program

The Vice President’s Clinical & Translational Research (VPCAT) Research Scholars Program offers intensive mentorship and support for junior faculty committed to careers in clinical or translational research.

Academy of Health Science Educators (AHSE)

The Academy of Health Science Educators (AHSE) is designed to advance state-of-the-art education at the University of Utah through teaching, research, mentorship and service. The Academy serves as a home for health science educators and a community that advocates for excellence in health science education.
