Pathways to Success in Academic Medicine 2025

This mini retreat is appropriate for new and junior clinical faculty who are more than two years away from promotion. The retreat will explore different pathways to success in academic medicine, that may make your job more meaningful and may eventually lead to promotion. Topics covered include: Finding purpose; leading and disseminating QIs; accomplishment of basic or clinical research; advancing education; establishing a new clinic; excellence in administration and promoting your accomplishments. Preparing for Promotion in Academic Medicine 2025

This half-day informational workshop is appropriate for clinical faculty who are considering going up for promotion or who are preparing for a retention or promotion review. The workshop begins with an overview of the review process and criteria for promotion. This is followed by a choice of breakout sessions which explore how to prepare a self-assessment that highlights your accomplishments in clinical advancement, teaching, administration and/or research.
