Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion in Research
At University of Utah Health, we believe that diversity in thought and lived experience is critical for asking the right questions and arriving at novel solutions. We support a number of programs that are centered on inclusion and that strive to create equitable opportunities for all.
Black Faculty and Staff Association
The Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA) advocates for progress through the promotion of critical dialogue, networking, recruitment and retention, professional development, mentoring, and cultural programs that emphasize traditions of the African and African diasporic communities.
The Anti-Racism Committee advises the Steering Committee on the overall campus climate regarding issues and events of racism across all intersections of identity and bias. Additionally, they recommend and evaluate measures to ensure that every student, faculty, and staff enjoys an environment free of racism and hate.
