Credit Hours
Thirty credit hours are required to graduate from the program. Students must take at least 10 credits of foundational courses and 9-15 advanced/elective courses. In addition, students will enroll for up to 10 credits for their mentored educational scholarship project/capstone.

- Conduct and disseminate health professions education scholarship
- Assume leadership roles within health profession education.
Curriculum
The curriculum for the M.Ed. HP program begins in August with a one-day immersive class: Health and Education Systems.
Foundations and Advanced Courses
- Six Foundations Courses (11 credits) allow you to develop a well-rounded education practice.
- 9 to 15 courses (15 credits) allow you to build the specialized skills you need. You may also choose to take elective courses to support your goals.
- Capstone Course (4 - 10 credits) provides you support as you develop your own educational project or program.
Supervisory Committee
Your supervisory committee is compose of three faculty: Committee Chair is the Department Chair, Committee Members are the Director of Graduate Studies, and Co-Director of the program. You may also invite additional faculty as process or context experts. You should meet your entire committee by no later than the beginning of your second semester to discuss your program of study.
Capstone Project
Each student will select a capstone project is to demonstrate achievement of program outcomes. Ideally, the capstone project will be aligned with the student's individual education practice. Dissemination of educational scholarship is required.
