Credit Hours
Thirty credit hours are required to graduate from the program. Students must complete at least 15 credits of foundational courses, 6 credits through the Mentored Education Scholarship Project or Capstone, and 9 credits in advanced or elective courses.

- Assume leadership roles within health profession education.
Curriculum
The curriculum for the M.Ed. HP program begins in August with a one-day immersive class: Health and Education Systems.
Foundations and Advanced Courses
- Six Foundations Courses (14 credits) provide a well-rounded foundation for your education practice.
- Nine Advanced Topics Courses (10 credits) help you build specialized skills, with the option to select electives to support your individual goals.
- Three Capstone Courses (minimum 6 credits required) offer support as you develop your own educational project or program.
Supervisory Committee
Your supervisory committee is compose of three faculty: Committee Chair is the Department Chair, Committee Members are the Director of Graduate Studies, and Co-Director of the program. You may also invite additional faculty as process or context experts. You should meet your entire committee by no later than the beginning of your second semester to discuss your program of study.
Capstone Project
Each student will select a capstone project is to demonstrate achievement of program outcomes. Ideally, the capstone project will be aligned with the student's individual education practice. Dissemination of educational scholarship is required.

Capstone Course Requirements (min. 6 credits)
The Capstone experiences includes three required courses, totaling a minimum of 6 credits:
- UUHED 6987: Introduction to Capstone HPE (2 credits)
- UUHED 6988: Capstone Proposal HPE (2 credits)
- UUHED 6989: Capstone Implementation & Dissemination of HPE (2 - 4 credits)
These courses guide you through the process of developing, proposing, and implementing your educational project in the field of Health Professions Education (HPE).
