Education in Health Professions Certificate

As health professionals, we are clinical experts but often haven't had the opportunity to prepare to be educators. This graduate certificate is designed for clinicians and other in health professions education to strengthen your education practice, scholarship, and leadership.

Application Requirements

  • Admission to the University of Utah as a non-matriculated or matriculated student
  • Completed or concurrent enrollment in a health professions degree OR possess at least a Bachelor's degree and strong interest in health professions education 
  • Separate Program Application
  • One letter of reference
  • Statement of intent addressing the following:
    • Reasons for applying to the program 
    • Current teaching role, if any
    • Career development objectives
  • Current CV
