Masters Programs in the Health Sciences
Biomedical Informatics
A master of science degree in biomedical informatics trains students in applied technical skills and management of health care analytics. Our program is geared toward: clinicians and health care professionals, biologists, and graduates in information technology and data science.
Clinical Investigation
The MS in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) degree program provides classroom and mentored experience in clinical research and innovation, preparing its trainees for careers in academic medicine, the allied health sciences, and global health related fields.
Genetic Counseling
The graduate program in genetic counseling is a two year master's of science program with full accredidation from the Accreditation Council of Genetic Counseling.
Health and Kinesiology
The master of science thesis track is research concentrated and suggested for those wishing to pursue a doctorate or a line of work that is laboratory or research focused.
Laboratory Medicine & Biomedical Science
Areas for advanced study and research specialization include immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, clinical chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, hematology, hematopathology, immunohematology, and genetics.
Nursing
Our online master of science program allows students to specialize in distinct areas of health care, expanding their career path and deepening their knowledge.
Occupational Health
The master of science in occupational health (MSOH) degree program is designed to train occupational health professionals for professional practice or transition to further research training.
Parks, Recreation, & Tourism
At the masters degree level you can specialize in areas involving tourism, commercial recreation, natural resource management, therapeutic recreation, or experiential education.
Public Health
The purpose of the MSPH program is to train public health professionals interested in a career in public health research.
Recreational Therapy
The master of science in recreational therapy provides an individualized, innovative, and progressive education that enables students to enhance their personal and professional knowledge and skill set while developing into leaders in the recreational therapy profession.
Speech Language Pathology
The master of science (MS) degree in speech-language pathology is an intensive program, normally involving a minimum of five semesters (one year, nine months) of study and full-time clinical practicum training.
Biostatistics
This program provides the student with a good foundation in the basics of applied statistics, the fundamentals of numerous problems in the areas of health, an ability to apply statistical knowledge to health-related data, and more.

Our PhD program provides intensive coursework and research training in biomedical informatics. The primary goal of the program is to train students to be independent researchers when they graduate; many of our PhD graduates go on to academic careers.

Research-intensive and trains students interested in conducting translational research that will enhance health, quality of life, and human performance.
MD-PhD Program
Provides an outstanding education for future physician-scientists. Students develop clinical skills and engage in rigorous scientific training.

Parks, Recreation, & Tourism
The program consists of a major in parks, recreation, and tourism; an area of concentration; and a research core that includes dissertation research.
Pharmacotherapy Outcomes Research
Students graduate with core competencies in health economics, epidemiology, research design, and statistics.
PharmD-PhD Pathway
This program is intended for students who are interested in careers in basic or clinical research. It is constructed to intersperse the core curriculum requirements of the PhD program into the curriculum of the PharmD program.
Population Health Sciences
Leveraging the combined strength of health systems research, epidemiology, and biostatistics, students graduate from the program with the ability to shape and inform data-driven quality health care.
Public Health
A PhD in public health will allow the public health practitioner to be a primary investigator on population-based studies.
Rehabilitation Science
This program aims to advance the scientific knowledge underlying the clinical practice of rehabilitation through the development of expertise in research, teaching, and professional service.
