CEPH/UGRP Resources for Researchers

Overview

The Utah Centre d′Etudes du Polymorphisme Humain (CEPH) families are 47 three-generation pedigrees who were instrumental to three phases of genetic studies, the 2nd and 3rd phases led by the University of Utah.

1st phase - Mapping the genome with the Human Genome Project as well as developing the haplotype map with the International HapMap Project
2nd phase - Collection of phenotype data from CEPH families to better understand traits under the Utah Genetic Reference Project (UGRP)
3rd phase - Will extend this research by engaging the 4th generation of Utah CEPH/UGRP families

Opportunity of Interest

The Utah Genome Project (PI: Dr. Deb Neklason) has an exciting collaboration with the Behavioral Stories for Health Study (PI: Drs. Christopher Gregg and Hilary Coon). Behavioral Stories for Health Study (BSHS) will ask you to participate in a series of short (5-10 min) interviews on your smartphone or computer. This study is a large, innovative effort to help understand and improve the mental and behavioral healthcare system for others in the future. - including proper diagnosis, improved treatment and better outcomes for patients.
