DigiStars Program

The DigiStars program is a multi-departmental effort, aligned with the University of Utah's synergistic approach to amplify voices and foster connections. The program has a special emphasis on amplifying the voices of scholars who are committed to careers in digital health.

Call for Applications

We invite applications for the “DigiStars” program at the University of Utah.

The DigiStars program is a multi-departmental effort, aligned with the University of Utah's synergistic approach to amplify voices and foster connections. The program has a special emphasis on amplifying the voices of scholars who are committed to careers in digital health. 

The departments involved in this effort include:

  • Computer Science

  • Geography
  • Health and Kinesiology​
  • Internal Medicine
  • Molecular Pharmaceutics​
  • Nursing
  • Nutrition and Integrative Physiology​
  • Pharmacotherapy​
  • Physical Therapy and Athletic Training​
  • Population Health Sciences
  • Psychiatry

If you are interested in being considered as a DigiStars Scholar, please submit your application here by May 15th. Please reach out to the UDigitalHealth@utah.edu with any questions.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN DIGISTARS?

DigiStars Scholars will:

  • Present their research at a one-day seminar on September 30, 2024 attended by faculty, staff, and trainees across departments at the University of Utah
  • Meet one-on-one with relevant faculty at the University of Utah to discuss their work

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR DIGISTARS?

DigiStars Scholars will be:

  • Early career scholars such as PhD students, clinical residents or fellows, postdoctoral scholars, or assistant professors
  • Individuals who have demonstrated scientific achievements and/or potential in digital health research

WHAT’S THE BENEFIT OF DIGISTARS?

DigiStars Scholars will:

  • Have an opportunity to promote your work via an invited seminar, and network with investigators in your field. You will be invited out to beautiful Salt Lake City and have a chance to learn about our dynamic community and the innovative research environment at the University of Utah.
