Dr. Hardikar is an assistant professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences and an investigator at Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah. She earned her PhD in epidemiology from the University of Washington and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where she currently holds an affiliate investigator appointment. Dr. Hardikar's research is focused on molecular and lifestyle factors associated with etiology and progression of cancer. She holds a career development award from NCI to evaluate the association between clinically-diagnosed type-2 diabetes, use of anti-diabetic medications, and risk of colorectal cancer.
