Members of the Lung Cancer Center conduct research to understand cancer from its origins to the patient and family, including its genetics, treatment, and prevention. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. and globally. Much of the ongoing research includes the study of new treatments, heredity of lung cancers in never-smokers, and individualized cancer care.
