Our Mission: Providing Support & Strengthening Collaboration

The Global Health Office at the University of Utah brings together a community of global health scholars, researchers, practitioners, and experts who share a strong commitment to enhancing global health outcomes on a global scale. As a central hub within the university, our role is to create an environment of belonging, offering a platform where individuals with a keen interest in actively participating in global health initiatives can come together and collaborate.

For decades, our central focus has been on addressing persistent global health disparities through innovative transdisciplinary research and education. We establish partnerships with global academic institutions, health delivery providers, and government and community leaders, fostering the exchange of knowledge and the development of intricate health solutions. Operating across more than 71 countries, our extensive network boasts over 100 experienced faculty and staff members who bring a wealth of expertise to the table.

Through our collaborative efforts, we strive to position the University of Utah as a leading institution in the global health landscape. Our dedication to global health work is deeply ingrained, as we are driven by a shared passion to make a positive and lasting impact on communities worldwide.

Our Values

The Global Health Office instills the principles and pillars of the Brocher Declaration and the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness in our work. We are committed to global health engagements that are ethical, sustainable, mutually accountable, and place community needs at the forefront.
