About Me
Matt is a student-athlete at the University of Utah studying biochemistry with a minor in biomedical engineering. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and being treated at Huntsman Cancer Institute and Stanford Cancer Institute, Matt became interested in medicine, specifically oncology and cancer research. His current campus involvement includes being an active member and leader, in the University of Utah swim team, and a position as an ambassador for the College of Science. After completing his undergraduate studies, he plans to apply to medical school to pursue a career in oncology. When he is not swimming, in school, or working, he likes to hike, play guitar, volunteer, and meet new people.
