Indira Gutierrez immigrated from El Salvador to the Salt Lake Valley in 1995 at the age of 5, and has since been a resident and vocal admirer of the state of Utah. In 2019, Indira graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, while working full time for the University of Utah Biochemistry Department as an executive assistant and serving as a member of the Utah Army National Guard. Indira continues to serve in the Guard while working full time as an administrative assistant for the Center for HOPE.
