About Me
Emily Kay is the Senior Manager, Diabetes Strategic Initiatives for the Research Program Development Team in the Senior Vice President of Health Science Research Unit. Emily oversees the administrative aspects of the Diabetes and Metabolism Research Center (DMRC) and the Driving Out Diabetes Initiative (DODI), including strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of these initiatives. Emily holds a Master’s in International Affairs from the New School and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Utah. Prior to her role in the SVPHS Research Unit, she served as a Program Manager at Huntsman Cancer Institute where she managed GMaP, a national program designed to enhance and expand cancer health disparities research and promote workplace diversity. She has previous experience working in international nonprofits focused on protecting refugee rights and promoting academic freedom.
