Young Lab - Lab Member - Daniel Yan

Daniel Yan

Dan is an undergraduate biology major on the Honors track at the University of Utah, with great ambitions of attending medical school and pursuing a career in oncology. His current work in the Young Lab focuses on developing a preclinical mouse model suitable for more focused study of interactions between cancer immunotherapies and autoimmune toxicity. Prior to joining the lab, Dan was a medical assistant, working alongside medical providers to provide valuable care while simultaneously immersing himself in the clinical environment firsthand.

During free time, Dan enjoys playing tennis and Tetris. He also has a creative side and is often found composing music or sketching all things wholesome.
