About Me
Casi Morales, JD is a Grants & Contracts Manager in the Department of Pediatrics. She leads the internal standard contract team for the Utah Trial Innovation Center (TIC). In this role she collaborates with other TICs, including Johns Hopkins, Duke, Vanderbilt, and Tufts, to develop standard contract templates and contracting strategies to gain efficiencies in the clinical trial start up process. She provides standard agreement consults for Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) institutions in the utilization of contract templates and effective communication to sub-sites for multi-center studies. Prior to her role in pediatrics, she served for 3 years as a claims examiner for the United States Department of Labor in Seattle, Washington. While there, she reviewed and analyzed workers’ compensation settlement cases for legal and compensatory sufficiency in conjunction with the CME Medicare requirements. In addition, she has worked as a compliance analyst in the office of sponsored projects at the University of Washington. Ms. Morales received her JD from Seattle University School of Law in 2008. In 2019, she completed a graduate certificate in conflict resolution from the University of Utah.
