5FTF Cancer Research Internship
The 5 For The Fight (5FTF) Cancer Research Internship Program at Huntsman Cancer Institute is an intensive, 10-week internship for rising juniors and seniors from select Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) Internship
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah is seeking applicants for the Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) internship program. Selected interns will join established teams devoted to creating long-term solutions to prevent and screen for cancer and improve the health of individuals, families, and communities. Independent Research
Prospective trainees interested in independent research experiences are encouraged to contact faculty directly regarding available opportunities. Most faculty at Huntsman Cancer Institute are listed in the Cancer Investigator Directory and can be sorted by research program. Research is divided into categories: laboratory, clinical, and population-based efforts.
Undergraduates may also qualify for positions such as lab aid, lab assistant, or student research assistant. Search for open positions.

GSRM Internship
The Genomics Summer Research for Minorities (GSRM) internship provides a 10-week summer research program for undergraduate students interested in in biosciences or bioinformatics with a focus on genomics research, including ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of genomics research.
NARI
The Native American Research Internship (NARI) is a dynamic summer research opportunity for Native American undergraduate junior and senior students who are interested in Health Science research. It is a 10-week, paid summer internship, funded by the National Institutes of Health.
SPUR
The Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) provides undergraduate students with an intensive 10-week research experience under the mentorship of a University of Utah faculty member. The program provides opportunities to gain research experience in a variety of disciplines.

The National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (NSF REU) is a national network of universities across the country which provides paid research. They offer internships in many different disciplines at over 150 different universities.
