About CQCIT

The Center for Quantitative Cancer Imaging and Theranostics (CQCIT) at Huntsman Cancer Institute provides researchers, clinicians, and patients with the most advanced quantitative molecular imaging and theranostic technologies available to both diagnose and treat cancer.

Our Expertise

The CQCIT offers cutting-edge technologies and expertise in radiopharmaceuticals, preclinical and clinical imaging, and theranostics, to support cancer research, diagnostics, and treatment across the Mountain West.

Radiopharmaceuticals

The CQCIT has more than two decades of leadership in research, development, and production of cutting-edge radiopharmaceuticals. With two state-of-the-art cGMP cyclotron/radiochemistry laboratories, Huntsman Cancer Institute produces a critical supply of PET radiopharmaceuticals for Utah and the Mountain West.

Preclinical Imaging

The CQCIT preclinical imaging laboratory was established in the Huntsman Cancer Institute vivarium to provide researchers with state-of-the-art non-invasive technologies to investigate new disease models, evaluate the efficacy of novel treatments, and develop diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.

Clinical Trial Imaging

Our expert team performs advanced imaging studies using high-performance digital PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners that are dedicated to supporting research being conducted in clinical trials at Huntsman Cancer Institute. The CQCIT works closely with industry partners and offers patients access to innovative targeted treatments and precision diagnostics.

Theranostics

Huntsman Cancer Institute is a leader in theranostics, a groundbreaking precision medicine approach that uses radioactive drugs to both find and treat cancer.
