The High-Throughput Genomics and Cancer Bioinformatics Shared Resource (GCB) is available to support the genomic experimentation and bioinformatic analysis needs of University of Utah investigators. High-Throughput Genomics (HTG) and Cancer Bioinformatics (CBI) operate as two independent, yet closely-aligned sections and are located adjacent to one another in the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Both are focused on developing teams of genomic professionals to guide researchers through the experimental and analytical process, support diverse protocols enabling state-of-the-art genomic research, and continuously reviewing and incorporating novel technologies for the benefit of research programs. Clients using the GCB Shared Resource are encouraged to meet with both sections for advice on experimental design, sample preparation, and analysis methodologies.
