About the HCI-RISE Program

The Remote Immersive Science Experience (RISE) Program is a virtual summer research experience for high school students from the Mountain West—especially those from rural communities—who are curious about cancer research and healthcare careers.

Hosted by Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI), this immersive program introduces students to a wide range of cancer research, public health, and education efforts taking place across HCI. Through interactive workshops, career panels, and small group activities, students gain early exposure to health and science career pathways at HCI and beyond.
