What Do We Do?
The Utah Addiction Center is dedicated to the prevention, early intervention, and treatment of substance use disorders and improvement of healthcare-related education and patient care through interdisciplinary research, student and professional education, and clinical training.
UAC staff have been actively involved in training medical and dental residents, pharmacists, psychologists, addiction counselors, and other healthcare professionals on recognizing and treating substance use disorders (SUDs), as well as developing programs and policy at the local, state, and national level.
The UAC collaborates on many local, state, and federal projects. Learn more about UAC projects.
