Hear From Our Patients and Providers

On October 12, 2023, the University of Utah and state representatives held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Population Health Center. Located in the Rose Park community of Salt Lake City, the center is a collaborative effort between the university, state, and community. Together, we are building a sustainable model of care tailored for those who need it most.

Population Health Center: Improving Patient Outcomes and Reducing Cost

What happens when patients with lengthy, complex histories of addiction and trauma end up repeatedly going to the ER for care? It places a significant financial and medical burden on the health care system. The IOC provides long-term medical and mental health care tailored to the individual needs of marginalized and impoverished patients—building relationships and changing lives.

Trust as Currency: building relationships and changing lives with the Intensive Outpatient Clinic.

Your smile, and associated oral health, may be a factor for successfully passing through the revolving doors of life. It is your first impression to a stranger, the closing argument to land a job and a major factor to achieving a good quality of life. For those who struggle with substance use disorder, oral health often falls off the precipice of self-care thereby seriously damaging interpersonal skills, while causing poor nutrition, increased oral and general infections and debilitating oral pain.
