The Therapeutic Games & Applications Lab (The GApp Lab) is a collaboration between the Center for Medical Innovation and the Entertainment Arts and Engineering Program, founded in 2013 by Dr. Roger Alan Altizer, PhD.

Located at the Center for Medical Innovation offices in the Eccles Health Sciences Library, this unique facility employs 25-35 graduate students each semester and staff who work specifically on medical, therapeutic and educational video games and apps.

Developed in close collaboration with the University of Utah Health's world-class health care providers and researchers, this dedicated lab allows students and staff to leverage time and expertise across multiple projects to foster cutting-edge development of games and apps.
